The Junior Tennis Initiative ("JTI") is a tennis development programme for the 14 and under age group funded by the International Tennis Federation (ITF). It is one of the pillars of the national federations' player development system. The actions undertaken by the JTI contribute in particular to increasing the practice of tennis throughout the world and to supporting the most promising players, particularly those from under-represented countries with limited resources.
Until now, the process of collecting data for the JTI programme at the international level has involved a great deal of manual work by the federation's teams. Data collection was mainly done through Excel spreadsheets and email exchanges. This process was both time consuming and unreliable, resulting in lost information and missed opportunities for young tennis stars around the world.
